I recently purchased a new Hobart Stickmate LX ac/dc welder, and I was wondering if Hobart supplies a welding mask with those units. When I bought my new Lincoln several years ago, not only did it include a mask but it had a receptacle and ground clamp with it and an electrode holder. The Hobart only included the ground clamp and electrode holder. I'm just trying to find out if the store pulled a fast one on me, because they couldn't find the box that this welder came in. It had been used as a display model and the store had to search for the owner's manual, etc. What do you think? Joe

Good morning Joe...The Hobart Stickmate is provided only with the electrode holder and ground clamp. Sorry, no helmet with this unit.

Thank you, Brian. I guess it doesn't hurt to ask. I still prefer to buy things that are boxed rather than buying a display that has been handled over by several people, but the welder seems to work just fine and I used the Lincoln helmet....Joe

DANG Joe! You just HAD to rub in that Lincoln helmet part, didn't you...

It's OK to use the Red helmet to weld cuz after all when you get the hang of the Gray machine you'll want to move up to a real welder anyway and you'll be lookin at Red ones .




Now that I whacked the bees nest I"ll let the Blue and Gray guys know I'm only joking

Those Red units have to give you a hood. Your not buying a REAL welder so thay have to give you something to makeup for the cost !!!
