Hobart 27 and 70 feeders

Hello again.. I purchased these 2 Hobart feeders.(a model 27 and a model 70). They operate when you plug them in to 115 volt and use the purge or run button.. but when you hook the gun up.. nothing.. The gun is a good one off my other 27 feeder.. What could cause this??? Is it easily fixed or should I send it to the shop?? Thanks Mike
