  • Linde UCC-305 problems

I have an old linde UCC-305. I graduated from Hobart and now I'm currently in college. My school had this old welder in the back that they gave me for next to nothing and now I'm trying to restore this old monster. When I try to stick weld it wont work when the switch is set to panel. It just sparks a little. But when I set it to remote it works when I have the pedel pushed down. I'm also told that the high frequency doesn't work. Any tips on how to fix it? After years of using other peoples welders I finally got my own. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I also have a copy of the owners manual if anybody wants me to e-mail it to them. Thanks

You may have two local remote switches, one for contactor and one for the amptrol. As far as the HF I would look at the spark gap points first.
