Greetings all,
I have had an Ironman 250 for about a year now and have been pretty happy with it. However, I am looking at getting a new welder and have narrowed it down to the MM 251 or Regency 250. I am leaning towards the Regency for the biggest complaint I have about the Ironman is the integrated wire feeder. I guess that comes from me growing up in my dad's shop with the nice 3 phase welders.
I have looked at Miller's site and done the online comparison. The biggest difference that I can see performance wise is the fine voltage control on the 251 and only the taps on the Regency which is not a real big deal for me. Is there anything that I have overlooked that would make the MM 251 a better choice? I primarily weld mild steel but do a bit of stainless and aluminum on occasion. Most of my stuff is 1/4" or below but again have burned some 1/2" in my time.
Any one have any thoughts?
