Personally I have not had much luck with thinner metal. I have the HH-135, lighter machine, but for me 1/8" is way easier than thin stuff. If you can, post some pix, setting, and such.

BTW, you should see some of the sheetmetal work I've done on my Jeep with it, it's down-right PURDY!

I'm the recent purchaser of a MM251 for general garage type fab. I'm into 4-wheel drive and do lots of repair/fabrication of vehicles/trailers/cages, etc.

I found this site while searching for info on various MIG machines.

ROCK has already helped me out with a helmet question I had and I look forward to learning lots more about the capabilities of these machines.

I've got a buzz-box stick machine that's older than I am (36) and I don't see it getting much use anymore. The MM is too much fun!

Last night I was repairing some thin metal table legs for our church. This machine is amazing! The tubing on the legs was about 20 gauge and was stretched and torn. I'd have never been able to sew that up with the stick machine and it was easy with the wire machine!

Enough rambling, I'm glad to be here.
