material cutting list software

hey doods, i am looking for some kind of software program that will take your stock on hand and make a cutting list for you. i hope i am making sence. what i want is a program that takes the lengths to be but and the amount os stock on hand and makes a cutting list to minimize waste?

There is software to do that in the lumber/millwork industry. You might want to look there to at least find the publisher. I know this isn't much, but it's the best I can do. I hope it helps.
