    Checked the contacts on both machines they look about the same, slightly pitted but not too bad. I will order new sets for both & see what comes of it Thanks

    RANGEROD........... YOU MIGHT NOT NEED TO PURCHASE A NEW SET YET.......... AS I RECALL YOU CAN CLEAN THE SILVER CONTACTS ONCE IF YOU DON'T REMOVE TO MUCH SILVER......... ALSO WHAT ARE THEY GAPPED AT THE SETTING WERE THEY THE SAME................. NEED TO USE A GAP GAUGE FOR THIS........... JUST CURIOUS...........................ROCK...........

      I used a feeler gage to check the unit that has the hard arc start it had .009" & the other one had .006" spark gap. I changed the gap so both are .006 & it improved the arc start, its not the same but I think it acceptable. It still dances around but not as much as it did before. I am still going to order a new set of contactors just to see if it helps any. Thanks for the help.
