Mega Arc 250DD question for ROCK

I have a hobart mega arc 250DD that started to smoke from the generator. I took apart the cover over the generator and some of the yellow coverd wires have the covering melted. can I take them apart and recover them???

I think I'd find out why they melted in the first place and fix it otherwise you'll be back at it again in no time..
Or worse, next time it'll catch on fire.

You have the manual of operation and electrical diagram of this equipment? Serious possible please to indicate its price?
