Hey guys. I just ordered the Miller Spectrum 625. I am looking for a sheath that I can cover the hose on this and my MM251. Where are you guys getting yours?
Bob,I don't think that style needs anything.I see you went a little bigger, even though you keep saying the small one is fine, the small one is fine.Forty amps is a much nicer unit overall. You are in the range where the real work starts.Metal fillings will stick to the tig type covers,so that only leaves the leather ones if you think you need one.
Yes...I did decide to go bigger. Looks like I have at least a couple of the buckets to build. Then later this summer I want to start on the FEL and that will be a lot of heavier metal to cut.
Yea Aaron...it's painted. Just waiting on the replacement cylinder to come in. The original had a bad seal. I just sold another one today to a guy around the corner with horses. Looks like I am going to be busy. The thing is sitting out in the side yard and is getting a lot of attention.)))
Bob Bob Bob,A little company called Thermadyne has leather covers for their machines You could probably use one of those?I noticed just the other day a couple pieces of small steel melted into my line ,i guess i better look into one also.

Wild Bill..thanks I looked on thier site and didn't see them listed. I will check now....
Ya know, for a "hobby" weldor, you've already got a bigger wire feed AND plasma than me I need to get another job and do this welding gig part time so i can buy bigger toys!

HAHA...yea...I ordered it from AirGas on Monday. I double checked the price Joe at BOC wanted (1650 plus tax). Air Gas wanted 1610 out the door.
I am going to redesign the bucket to look more like yours and that will eliminate a lot of grinding on the edges.....
Oh....and BTW....I ended up in two emergency rooms and on Monday I had to go to an optimologist to get the stuff the ER's couldn't get out of my eye....OUCH...
Surplus Center sent me out a replacement cylinder on Monday so it should be here by the weekend. I think you said you will be gone this weekend so we can test this out at your place the following weekend. I need to get those pics to the magazine so I will take a few around the house this weekend. And then next weekend we can take some at your house and send those also.

LOL Arc Burn...after I finish the landscape rake the welder will have paid for itself. And it appears that I will be making several of these buckets. If I do that I will have paid for the plasma cutter. And if those fall through..thats fine with me...I wanted one anyway.
