I just got a new copy of the Seares catalog and saw they have the new Handler 125 also saw one at the Harbor Freight Store here. Specs are just about the same as the 135 but the price is about $75 less. Hello??????
XMT 300CC/CV (yes it still works)
Bobcat 225, Hobart Hefty CC/CV wire feeder, Profax spool gun,Victor & Smith O/A, Lincoln Tombstone(sold), Airco HF box (old Miller) MM175, IR 4KW gen set,all paid for, all work. My newest addition MM130 salvaged from a Kitrina flood area. Cleaned up and works great. . Just added a Miller Thunderbolt AC/DC, total cost to repair both less than $200.00, they both work great...another Katrina cast off.

Bummer. I just bought my HH 135. I would have tried the HH125 if I knew it was avilable. I'll have to run up to the site and check out the specs.

        From Sears Tool Cat.

        HH125 with gas kit $420.
        HH125 without $350.
        HH135 $499.

HH135 is a better welder and on line dealers sell it for less than Sears.

My HH 135 is sold thru B&R Welder Repair Service Inc.
            4412 Southern Business Park Drive
White Plains, MD 20695, and the shippiong is free. They are a Miller/Hobart dealer and the unit sells for $444.95. The HH 175 sells for $659.00 and the Miller Thunder Plasma Cutter sells for $887.00, also with free shipping.
Just me thoughts on the matter. Still believe I got a better deal than the HH 125 at Sears.

Sorry you're not in California. I have a Lincoln Idealarc 300/300 TIG that is extra, we have two of them. The oilfields out here are loaded with used welders and we can't sell it. We're down to $350 and still no buyers. Everyone wants MIG's. We use an air-cooled TIG torch, but the unit will run a watercooled unit with no problem. We're trying to sell it minus the torch, but with a full set of stick cables. The unit is a 2'X2'X4' box and weighs a lot. Sorry, but it sounds like the right price, wrong place

                      Frank,

The Handler 125 was designed as a cored wire welder with the capability to upgrade to solid wire welding. It's a great little flux cored wire welder.

For the user who anticipates more solid wire welding, the Handler 135 has broader capabilities than the 125.

The Handler 135 is the upgrade from the Handler 125.

                      Darrell

Frank, I tested the 125 extensively with .030" solid wire and 75/25 gas...it performed well...however i have been practicing a few years and to me, it was easy to handle. It does perform better as a fluxcore machine though. It is lighter than the 135, and will weld just as good on 100' of extension cord...a plus.

In my home shop I use fluxcore mainly.

I have been looking to get a 120v machine for light work. I have an XMT 300 with a Hefty CC?CV that will do most anything I need but want a smaller mig for light work. The price for the 125 with the Mig up grade seamed real low compaired to the 135 and the specs were almost the same. I have run the 135 and 175's plus some of the Red Stuff. It just caught my eye at Harbor Freight and the Sears Catalog. Maby I can talk Rock into a demo for LA(lower Alabama).

Don't know what they are now, but I got my HH135 and a cart from Weiler Welding for $405 including shipping in Feb 02. It was here in less than a week. The 125 sounds interesting but if I run into some money I'm going for a bender and a small arc [to learn on].
                            Regards, George
