  • Micro Tig - aluminum - any users?

Been using a water cooled mini-rig daily for aluminum, Weldcraft WP20V, had it in the shop for 2-3 months now and it's been a real workhorse, very happy (spoiled) with it.
Lately, came up with some tedious projects (and more on the way) that have some deep and cramped spots (imagine that!) and contemplated a micro unit from Weldmark, the MT125. Most jobs are gonna be .25" thick fill work on cast aluminum in a 1.5" dia hole, coupla inches in. Yep, you guessed it, building up the floors in cylinder head exhaust ports.
From what I can tell, looks like I may be in the market for that rig and some quartz nozzles. Anyone have experience or advice on this torch?

    thanks,

bird, I have a customer who does similar work. He invested in the CK Turbine torch, this has allowed him to do a lot of jobs that others cannot. It is a pricey item, but he found it to be worth it. It is about halfway down on the watercooled section, the CKT200. Best of luck BW
