Now that is a powermig that even I could afford to buy.Excellent post Scott. Very funny.
I actually ran one of these before, and as far as I am concerned the machine is a piece of junk. It will run .023 solid wire. And it was supose to run .030 too but it did a very poor job. I d even buy a Lincoln SP 135before I would ever buy this peice of junk Powermig.
MigMaster 250- Smooth arc with a good touch of softness to it. Good weld puddle wetout. Light spatter producer.
Ironman 230 - Soft arc with a touch of agressiveness to it. Very good weld puddle wet out. Light spatter producer.

HH 125 EZ - impressive little fluxcore only unit

Dan,how did you like the pulse on pulse?probally built in at all times.Dan,I am kind of surprised you didn't like the arc, knowing the machines you like.
Aaron,I thought it was a rice cooker!Probally welds the same as one.In fact I would not doubt you would have better luck making rice then making weld beads.

I have never said a single bad thing about your PM 300, and here you are picking on my MM 210 again, and we are fellow Oregonians.
The only special mode of metal transfer that this machine had was its sputter on sputter mode with an .030 solid wire.
I also find it interesting that the person is including a roll of fluxcore wire with the machine, because as far as I can remember there was no convenient way to switch the polarity on the machine.
The machine is definately not a rice cooker. However , I think it might make a decent boat anchor.Last edited by Dan; 04-16-2003, 05:27 AM.MigMaster 250- Smooth arc with a good touch of softness to it. Good weld puddle wetout. Light spatter producer.

Dan,before I say I am sorry about bad mouthing your 210,I need to make sure you are not one of those transplants from the south that real Oregonians have so much problems with?
Dan,remember when I bad mouth your stuff I am never including your 210.When I went in to the welding store the other day,and a guy that buys, and trades in way more machines than me was saying they are junk.He also said that about the 185.He thinks all the Miller stuff is like the MM250 he had.I had to stop him right there, and tell them they are not the same, and they weld nice.
This guy runs CO2 on every thing, and he hated the Powcon he had,the early 300 Miller inverter, the Migmaster 250 plus, and a few others. He likes the two Migmaster 260 machines he has bought, with the latest model being he favorite.I guess it runs CO2
real well.I could care less how it on CO2 myself, but this guy is cheap, but he sure does go through the welders.
See Dan,I don't let people make statements that are not based in some kind of fact, because that's my Job not his.

Scott
Im 100% pure blooded Oregonian. I was born in Dallas Oregon. Then we lived in Salem until I was about 6 years old. In 1975 my great grandfather passed away, and he left his farm to my grandma on my Dad's side. So my grandma rented the farm to my parents, and this is where my father still lives to this day. The farm is located in a small rural community called Macleay, which is located about 10 miles East of Salem. By the way my Mom was passed away about 2 years ago. She was killed in a automobile accident. Anyway Now my wife and I live in Stayton. So you know my wife is 100 % Oregonian too. She grew up in Pendleton, and during her high school years her parents moved to this side of the state.
Scott, I also understand that you are just mostly joking around with me on the machines that I have, which is cool . I have no problem with this. Nothing wrong with a little friendly joking. I actually find it entertaining. I still think Rocky D dealership comment was hilarious, and this powermig joke ranks up there right with it. I was definately laughing when I saw the picture of the machine.MigMaster 250- Smooth arc with a good touch of softness to it. Good weld puddle wetout. Light spatter producer.
