  • Question for Rock

Good morning Rock. I am at the Miller site to order the student training package. The question I have is I don't see any place to specify the size jacket I want. Is this something that I order after I get the training material and will the purchase of my MM175 back in December qualify for the Jacket?

    Thanks

Bob, I'm not Rock, but I do know that the certificate for the jacket comes with the package. Welder purchase should be covered.

          Large will do..
I looked for you on Tuesday and again on Thursday when I had to go back to pick up my new 7 x 12 Jet bandsaw. Seems I kept missing you. Bob Brown from Thermadyne sure was offering me incentives to buy the new Cutmaster 38 when I explained to him about all I went through to get to a toll free number then the disappointment when I reached a recording that said to give up to 2 days to respond. I was however impressed with the way the Cutmaster 38 performed. I was hoping Miller would have some demo stuff also but Miller seemed to be the only company out of the bunch that was not offering the demo's.

            Bob,
You get a certificate with the training stuff. You send the certificate in, along with a copy of your reciept. Thats it. They don't even charge you for the shipping. I got mine pretty quickly. I think the books alone are worth more than $25. If I just had the time to read them all. I really like my jacket and I wear it all the time.

Thanks Chadrat. I have been meaning to order the training material for several months now. The tread that talked about it reminded me to do so. You can never get enough good info. I plan on starting a little reference library in the garage/shop. Problem is in never do enough of one thing to remember exactly the steps and settings I need to do so I have to keep refering back to the print.))

I guess puter in the garage for quick searches on the net would be handy...but it would be a pain to keep it from all the elements...))

I need a frig in my shop. Maybe after the next big sale I can talk the boss into one. Who has time to watch TV while they are in the shop? If there is a show I want to watch then I go in the house and watch it on the big screen. A radio set on my favorite station is good enough for me. Computer? I get enough of compuers at work. I don't need one in the shop. Although having one hooked up to a plasma cutting table would be cool.

I know what you mean about computer time. I am a web programer and I get way to much of it at work right now. But I do often use it to get reference stuff....as far as the TV...gotta watch Monster Garage and Junk Yard wars..
