A while back you asked why I liked the M-25 gun better then the M-15. Well the answer was that the M-15 felt kinda heavy on the cable end of the gun like I was having to fight something and the M-25 is nice and balanced. Well since I received the MM 185 as a used machine, and then hearing stories of how the people that had it before me treated equipment, I decided to pull the liner out and see how it looked. To my suprise I found 5 kinks in the liner. So I installed a new liner and what a difference this made. Now I like the M-15 a little better then the M-25 because of its smaller size. I really like the M-10 (h-10) because of how compact that it is, it allows me into places that the other two guns won t let you get. This is one reason why I ll always have my HH 175 or maybe oneday a MM 175 around.

Dan,hows it weld now.I bought a new liner for the mm 185 I had,but never got a chance to weld with it yet. It's at the welding store, and is for sale.I might go try it today, because the liner is in.Mine welded great with the little lincoln gun, better than it did brand new by far.I also have the Esab Tweeco version of the m-25 on my new Hobart feeder, but am waiting for parts to hook it up.I like the front end of that gun because the nozzle is small to get in to tight places.

Dan,
Thanks for the reply. One of the common problems I always hear about is with the wirefeeding through mig guns. Kinked liners are very common. What people rarely realize is that they can not fold the mig gun. Also when installing a liner in a gun it should slide into the gun easily and if it gets kinked while installing it, it's already bad before it is used. I always liked the M 15 gun on that Millermatic 185 for the same reasons you mentioned.
Thanks again for your input.
