I have only used a plasma uctter a few times at work. The one the company has is the hyperthem G1250(?). So if you will entertain an ignorant question: What is the standoff and what is a drag cut? Thx's, Fred.

Fred, I don't have one yet but have used a demo and have done a lot of research. Drag cutting occurs when you drag the torch nozzle right on the steel. Stand off cutting is when you hold the torch (either by hand or by a means of a support of some kind) a certain amount of distance from the metal you are cutting.
