I am thinking about getting a new stick welder. I have looked around for the best deal. I have decided on the Craftsman 240/160 AC/DC stick welder for only $300. Does anyone else have one and what do you think about them? Does anyone know who makes Craftsman welders?

I think century makes sears welders. I've had a sears AC stick welder for about ten years with no problems.

Hey JOSH, I have a Craftsman, and have had it for about four years with no problems, it's a good unit. It is built by Century, but buy it with the Craftsman logo obligates them to handle any shipping incurred during the warranty period, and I like the infinate adjustment.Originally posted by Josh
