  • co2 regulator

    O. K. guys. Now I'm really confused. I'm a hobbiest with an HH 135. I regularly use C25 for shielding, but I have a bottle of straight CO2 for backup. Do I need a different regulator for the CO2, or just an adapter for the bottle (I already have that)?

    Thanks,
    Jack

This regulator will work with CO2, and C25 like you said all you need is the adaptor for the C02 tank

You can use your regulator with an adapter. The regulator might feeze on cold day but should be ok on warm day. Your welder has a duty cycle and think of your regulator having one too. If you use it for long periods without breaks at high flow rates CO2 regulator is more likly to freeze without heater.

I have seen CO2 regulators that have aluminum fins (heat sink) attached to back and at outlet fitting.

I have welded with CO2 gas with the regulator supplied with the unit and didnt have any freeze up problems. You need to remember this is a Handler 135 20% duty cycle unit. Contenious welding will freeze up the regulator but you will not be able to run this welder long enough for this to freeze the regulator on this welder.
          Thanks
