  • Kraze-arc inverters

Does anyone have any opinions on Kraze-arc inverters? They seen to be resonably priced, but if they are crap price doesn't really matter. I'm just interested to see if they fit the phrase "you get what you pay for"?

    Thanks

Interesting website, this may be worth some effort in finding the answers.
Perhaps someone with some time can reasearch this company.

DJD775...........I'VE SEEN THESE GUYS FROM MONTANA TO NEW HAMPSHIRE AT WELDING SHOWS...........HOWEVER I KNOW VERY LITTLE ABOUT THEM...........WHAT I'M SAYING IS I BELIEVE THEY ARE FROM ACROSS THE WATER, AND ARE NOT LARGE PLAYERS IN THE INDUSTRIAL WELDING FIELD..............HOWEVER I WILL SEND FOR ONE OF THEIR CATALOGUES AND SEE WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY.............................. .......................WE'LL SEE.............ROCK

            Rock,
I just recieved one of their catalogs, not too impressive. Just a few photocopies and most of them are about welding helmuts. I was just curious about them because I'm in the market for a DC inverter to do TIG welding. I will be attending TIG class at my local college soon and I would like to round out my welder collection with a TIG machine. I'm leaning towards a maxstar 140 str or a Lincoln invertec 160T. If the Kraze arc was a known machine I would have put it in the running.

            Thanks

                  aweaver,
I understand your point. If i buy a new machine I will look into an AC/DC machine. I might be able to get my hands on a used invertec 160t for a good price though.

                  thanks
