  • Problem with Handler 135

Whenever I plug in my 115v 135 Handler there is gas automatically coming out of the gun when the power is *OFF*. If I turn on the machine, the wire is automatically HOT. It has been acting up on me with this problem but now it has stuck in this position. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

If the machine is under warranty take it to your dealer. Not sure what all is inter-connected, but seems your gas solenoid is stuck and the contactor for the mig gun as well. Since you don't have auto-wire feed we can assume that the gun switch is OK. Rock should be able to shed some light on this when he logs in.

The problem is in the control board. There is a solid state relay that brings in the contactor and the gas valve. It has to be stuck closed all the time. Take it in to a warranty dealer and they will be able to get it repaired.

The welder has been doing great! Been putting it thru it's paces. I was wondering how much this electronic board was if it wasn't in warranty? Just in case something happens to it again....Thanks
