  • Saftey question

If the weather is damp and misting and you are welding in DC mode, is there any saftey concerns?

    safety

More dangerous regarding electrical shock from equipment than from welding process. Obviously not good for 110v/220v machine to be exposed, but engine powered welders run in all sorts of inclement weather.

I quess I should have been more specific. I am using a MIller BlueStar. So, I need not worry that rain or shine I'm not going to
shock myself using a DC engine driven welder.

The voltage produced by an engine driven welder is still enough to give you a good jolt if you arn't careful about keeping your gloves, shoes, and pants dry when welding.
There was another thread on this topic just recently, perhaps if you engage the search function you can view this thread.
