welding classes ?

    found me one, costs $100 ... starts in Jan, sounds like what I'm looking for.

Taught in two parts, this class helps the student to understand, as well as perform, basic principles and techniques of welding.

    Course Outline


    1)Introduction to Welding, Cutting and Safety Procedures.

    2)Demonstration & procedures of Oxygen-Acetlyne cutting and welding equipment.

    3)Intro. & operation of Arc Welding Equipment. (Completing various weld joints).

    4)Intro. To GTAW- completing various weld joints, continuation of ARC and GMAW procedures.

    5)Intro. To GMAW ( Continuation of ARC welding procedures).

    which school did you take it at Doc ? up until last year I lived in Round Rock on 620 close to the H-E-B ...

    ok Rocky. I now see the 2 classes with welding in the title, definitely not where I expected them. thanks. Neither of those titles sounds quite like what I'm looking for though

    I took my class at the local community college. It was in the vocational eductation department. They also offered a variety of welding/forging courses in the Art department.

    I found the course to be very good - it is a great way to get those good habits formed!!

    welding classes ?

    hey,

    I've read in several posts recently about guys taking welding classes. I'm kindof a somewhat experienced novice weldor and would really like to be better at it, perhaps even "good". Would like to take a welding class but have called around and found out that the high schools local to me have quit teaching welding

    I have a junior college in town but can't for the life of me figure out if they teach welding. Where are you guys taking classes at ?
    high school ? Jr college ?

    here's the class categories from my local jr college but can't find welding in any of them ...
