  • welding classes ?

    hey,

I've read in several posts recently about guys taking welding classes. I'm kindof a somewhat experienced novice weldor and would really like to be better at it, perhaps even "good". Would like to take a welding class but have called around and found out that the high schools local to me have quit teaching welding

I have a junior college in town but can't for the life of me figure out if they teach welding. Where are you guys taking classes at ?
high school ? Jr college ?

here's the class categories from my local jr college but can't find welding in any of them ...

Jack, check out Decatur Campus, under Aerospace technology, and see if something appeals to you.

I took my class at the local community college. It was in the vocational eductation department. They also offered a variety of welding/forging courses in the Art department.

I found the course to be very good - it is a great way to get those good habits formed!!

ok Rocky. I now see the 2 classes with welding in the title, definitely not where I expected them. thanks. Neither of those titles sounds quite like what I'm looking for though
