    I asked one of the engineers, and he told me it was either hydroflouric, or hydrocloric. I know there is a big difference there....I'll work on it some more. Maybe the D1.1 has something to say about it.......

    I checked, they just sat "a suitable soulotion" I do know the weld is cut through, like you did, and the sanded and polished up like chrome, before they apply the acid to it. The weld will stand out like night and day, and you can see each pass clearly.
