Rocky D, in an earlier post you mentioned a welding test where the weld was cut and then etched. Do you know what they use to etch it? I cut across a weld but can't tell where the base metal ends and the filler starts. Just curious......Thanks

I checked, they just sat "a suitable soulotion" I do know the weld is cut through, like you did, and the sanded and polished up like chrome, before they apply the acid to it. The weld will stand out like night and day, and you can see each pass clearly.
