Classes in FL?

Hello all. New here, been reading and had a quick question. I am a "hobby" welder and I'm interested in taking a class or two. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am in the Tampa, FL area.

The AWS is headquarterd in Miami. I dont have a link to their page handy, might be able to find it here somewhere. They would have a list to schools I believe. Good idea, this is one area that some school is a good thing and speeds up the learning curve greatly and helps with avoiding some learned bad habits that can become hard to break. Learning the right way makes it possible to gain some expertise. Most self taught weldors hit a wall and no matter how much practice they never improve much past a certain level.

there is a full time day program at pinellas voc tech. there was a night program but it has been temporaily stopped because the instructor is out. but the night program is suposed to restart soon.
also i know there are programs in pasco and hillsbourgh countys.
get on the phone and check the voc/tech county programs or the local Jr. college.
