New to MIG. Got Hobart Handler 135. Searched post on this subject and found chart with rule of thumb on wire speed and amps, i.e. divide wirespeed by 4.2 for .024 wire and 2.2 for .030 wire to get amps. I've seen rule of thumb for 1 A per .001 thickness and duty cycle is based on amps. So, it would be nice to have some idea what amps are being used. However, haven't seen anything that would give idea of setting vs. wirespeed, except in manual shows 190 to 800 under load. Any info appreciated. Is this being too ****?

Just adjust the wire feed until you get a sound like bacon frying. Set the voltage to what they recommend. I have measured my Hobart using .035 wire with CO2. I run at 100 amps.
What do I know I am just an electronics technician.
