Somebody wanted to see Stick Welding Beads

Well I don't have any at the time because I dont even have a scanner but i can do fillet welds on 2x2x3/16 tubing to where they are just flawless but that is using DCEN using Lincoln E6013 and I fitted the steel to where it was completely flush using a cutting torch....i'm so good i know i am i know i am i know i am heh heh heh

Way back when.......... we used to call 6013 granny rod, 'cause just about anybody's granny can put down a good bead with 6013 .

well well well

you might be able to put down a pretty bead but it has to have excellent penetration,no cracks,i mean flawless certified welds....grannys?.....I know a blacksmith in my town he's still welds with a little lincoln crackerbox he is 87 years old he can probaly weld better than you ol chum....he welded plows for me that i plowed whole dry tough black land fields now he is an old time vet

At 87 years of age, your friend has a wealth of experience, as I have only been welding since 1975, I'd bet that he has a few tricks up his sleeve that I havent seen.
Too often the younger generation think they have all the answers.

yep

i agree with you these kids go out get a degree right away but i don't think that really compares to experience....when you been welding plows and heavy steel your whole life you know how to weld....
His name Is Fred Rakowitz....he uses a 25 year old lincoln...he still drives...his wife just died tho...but i tell you they get grumpy with age.....he always is in a bad mood but boy he can weld...
