  • ALright I havent started tig yet but I need suggestions asap

theres another welding class starting up next month and I think I might take it.

Problem is that the class kinda sucks, but its 180 bucks, the teacher doesnt teach much since hes the only one.

When I went to go learn mig welding I ended up teaching myself and then ended up taching the whole class basically since he couldnt. In other words he was an arc welder and thats almost all he knew. There wasnt even a safety course...

So I need to go in there with as much outside information as I can about tig welding since the class isnt a class. its just 2 months of practice for 4 hours a night 2 nights out of the week...

So help me out, I have NO idea what to expect. last class he just had me practie doing small small circular motions, no filler rod. thats about as far as I got. so yeah help me out haha thanks!

      Ross,

Download the TIG manual from the Miller education website. It's free.

PDF files are great, if you're not using Adobe to read them

Adobe's software is a bloated, resource hogging pig.

Give this a shot: http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php Loads in a second and opens most basic PDF files.
