    How do these look, butting two pieces together, machine is a HH175, .035 wire, heat range 2 (single straight pass in middle @ 3), 55-6- wire speed, 75/25 @ 20 with trigger pulled, .120 wall steel, pushing witha bit of circular? motion

    Here are some test beads the 3 heat range is the middle

      Here is the same tube to a piece of .25 flat, one is welding up, the other down.

            The only thing that I could see is that the puddle looks a little "cold" and the 1/4" maybe could have had some more heat put into it.

            If I am wrong, please advise, as I am still learning.

              For the tube, you're going too slow, evidenced by the humongous HAZ, but your penetration should be good. The tube to plate, looks good, however, I would point it more to the plate.
