Just had to show you this vertical up weld that I ran on some 1/4" 304L stainless with my MM 185 at work. Ok I admit I messed up on the start, what can I say I don t use an auto darkening hood to MIG weld. The more I run this machine the more I like it. Wonder if I can convince the wife into letting me get one for myself someday? Strange thing about this weld is that it looks similar to how my vertical up with 6010 or 6011 use to look (minus the bad start) back when I actually did stick welding.

...Just kidding.I think you should be a teacher instead of what you do. If more people welded like that it would be a gooood thing.

Dan,thats nice.I probally should go get my MM185 back?I really think those welds are more the weldor than the machine you use.I am picking up lots ot ss scrap from the steetmetal shop I hang out at,but I am using my Tig a whole lot more since I hooked up a button for my torch. Then I am just using the upslope, and downslope of the machine. It's kind of cool with dc tig.I do need to get a bottle of ss mix gas to try some pulse stuff, and non pulse.
Dan,when you get time could you post your torch movements again for that weld?I printed some, but I don't think I got that one.
Thanks,Scott
