Can anyone tell me what structual pipe is?

Does Scheule 40 refer to the wall thickness?

I am looking to build a swing arm stand for my motorcycle and I am trying to decide on what would be the best.

2 x 1x 1\8 rectangular

3/4 ID sch 40 structual pipe


I was considering 1 1\4 conduit since it looked about 1\8 wall, but being galvanized I decide to stay away from that.

I wouldn't let galvanizing dissuade me from using conduit for one minute, especially if I had the material on hand. Despite some gross misinformation you received in your other thread, zinc is not lethal, it just requires some careful handling or it can make you temporarily quite sick.

I don't have a shop or anything, I usually weld just inside the overhead garage door or just out side it.
