New to weld talk!

Hi to all of you,
It seems that not only do I have a lot to learn about welding but also about finding my way around a web site. I just ordered my first welding outfit, Hobart mig 140. I am basicly a woodworker who is looking to expand my interests. Am retired civil engineer and currently building scale model western coaches and wagons.Looking forward to learning much from you folks.

You sound about like me several years back ... HH-135 from mail order.
Lots of advice available here. If you can post some pictures of ... ahh ... "early work", you should get lots of help.

Thanks To Bob And Sarge For The Welcome. I Will Try To Add Photos Later But Am Not Computer Savy At This Point. The Mig 140 As Well As My Dewalt Cut Off Saw Are Reconditioned Units. Waiting To See If I Made A Mistake In Trying To Save A Few Bucks. When They Arrive I Will Let You Know.
