Hello Everybody!
Today I purchased my first welder a HH187. I had done quite a bit of research and looked at big red and big blue, but selected Hobart. Why? First I called customer service and asked for their assistance in selecting a welder. They were patient with my naive questions and helped me with my decision. Second was this website forum. I read threads from beginners like me and felt right at home. I am excited about learning from all of you and the tech experts at Hobart. Tomorrow I will set up my welder and attempt to run my first bead!
On the personal side, we live on an 80 acre farm in northern Alabama. Anyone who has lived on a farm knows that there is always something that needs "fixin". Also, I am in the process of restoring a 1941 Chevy 1 1/2 ton truck. As you can imagine, I will be fabrication lots of parts. New and used parts for this truck are hard to find!
