Transitions Lenses

One time I thought my auto dark was on the fritz, until I realized I was still wearing my sunglasses...It was very dark in there!!

Do you think wearing transition lenses underneath an Auto-darkening hood affects seeing your weld at all? Or, do you think it takes too long for the glasses to react and makes no difference.... Just a thoughts...
