tr-250hf ground clamp arcs on bench , leads jump around , burnt wires in conduit

  • tr-250hf ground clamp arcs on bench , leads jump around , burnt wires in conduit

    was tig welding alum, on my bench that is also wired for 110v outlets , welding funny next thing i know is it burnt the wiring in my conduit all the way back to my breaker box, covers off welder dont see anything out of the ordinary ??

    I'd recommend having an electrician check your setup.

      Sounds like "work" lead problem, electricity always whats to go back to its source, it was looking for a path (back to welder) through external circuit....

        been welding on this bench and useing the same wall plug for 15 yrs, all my other welders work off from the same cercuit / wall plug , not popping breakers , and i am an electrician, its something to do with the welder, was trowing it out there in case someone has had this problem before ??
