  • Dayton 3z562 welder

    This is a Dayton model 3z562 welder i unearthed out of my inlaws garage. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Its slightlt rusty on the outside but clean on the inside. Any info would be helpful Feel free to email me at [email protected]. Thanks.

    Well,,, there looks like some lead and some cord and any welder is better than no welder, thats what there is to know. If you want to use it get 1/8 6011, 3/32 7018AC and 1/8 7018AC if you got work to do. Hobart makes all 3, the 11 os ok, the AC lohy is really good.

      Any ideas how old this Dayton is? Its been in the garage at least 15 years.

          Little update. Its probably been sitting ng over 30 years. Plugged it in, turned right on. Im guessing the amps listed on the front will be different if its plugged into house current instead of 230v service which i dont have.

            ​What did you plug it into?

            Is there an electrical data plate on the rear? I'm assuming it's designed only for 220-240V input?
