  • Looking for an old topic on welding a counterweight

    I remember seeing a topic a couple years ago on a repair shop repairing a counterweight off some sort of machinery. The repair facility was using 4' long 1" dia welding rods to do the repair. They ended up with like 5000 lbs of weld in this piece. Do any of you guys have the link to that article or do you recall reading the article ?

        It wasn't that specific thread but similar. Holy crap that's some serious gouging and welding !!!
