    Can anyone identify this welder?
    I need some help setting it up to repair a metal rail fence. I have some experince with MIG welding but have never stick welded before.
    The fence is a steel rail fence for a horse paddock, roughly 1/2" round bar rails welded to steel posts, both appear to be mild steel (pics to follow).

    The markings on the welder are worn off, what are the controls, what settings would be a good starting point?
    What rod would be best?

    That's a Miller Bobcat 225G. Check out the manual here: http://www.millerwelds.com/om/o431g_mil.pdf and it will give you the control panel layout, etc. Here's DDA52's that he put a new faceplate on, it doesn't show a lot of detail in this picture but might be helpful:
