  • Connector?

Does anyone know if the Lenco and Tweco twist cable connectors will mate up if they are the same size? I have a couple Tweco connectors and i saw a good deal online on some Lenco connectors but i wanted to make sure they would mate up and work alright. Thanks in advance

The new Lenco style will, but the old nes will not.....no idea how long ago they became sorta compatible. I was never fond of the Lenco style myself. The Tweco's have been much better for me.

Tweco, Lenco and Jackson should all interchange if they are of the same size and type. Each still markets various configurations and sizes.

BTW Don, I've had better luck with the Lencos than the Twecos.....go figure

To each his own I guess. I only used Lenco's nearly 25 years ago, back when all I did was multistory stuff. I would have leads running 100-200' straight up at times. The old style Lenco would have a tendency to roll out and decouple after a while when they hung like that. They usually did it when under load, too. The result would be a nice little explosion and a destroyed coupler. I always had to carry spares. You never knew when they would do it. I finally got tired of it and switched to Tweco and have yet to look back. I have gotten a few of the new style Lenco's and they are different than they used to be. They may well work fine now. Since all my stuff is Tweco or dinse now, there's no real need to find out.
