You can feed it into a heat treat oven to keep oxygen from knife blades while heat treating.

I saw this in the rockler book a while ago. Did'nt realize it was just argon.
I belive that the Declaration of Independacne, The Consitution, and The Bill of Rights are stored in cases purged with argon to prevent deterioration.

I also use it to inflate the struts on my Cessna 310! They normally are inflated with nitrogen, but I don't have a bottle of that, and all it takes is to put on the adapter and crack the valve. WaLaa!

I've actually been doing that for years - just from my welding cylinder, not from an aerosol canIt works great. I get a lot more life out of opened paints now.
