I can't speak for availability but it's in the new Northern Spring/Summer master catalog. Item number is 164014-1906.

        Thanks!

Thanks Mike and Pop. Ordered from your link about 5 minutes ago. I'll let you'all know how it works out and update when I receive it... $99.99 + S/H $6.20 + FL tax $6.00 = $112.19

UPDATE: Received Friday, the 3rd or April. Left Charlotte, NC on the 2nd... I'll write a review once I get the cylinder filled and get a chance.

BTW, CO2 set is now advertised on the front page of www.hobartwelders.com

The regulator has preset fixed flow rate. If shielding gas is getting blown away block the wind from weld area or switch to self shielding flux core wire just like you would with adjustable regulator.

You could use paint ball CO2 charging adapter to adapt adjustable shielding gas regulator to paint ball CO2 cylinder with more bulk, cost and weight. But I would just use 10 pound CO2 cylinder if needed adjustable regulator with light cylinder.

I don't want to use it for welding.
I want to have a source of C02 at a pressure of about 100 psi and a paintball tank is just the right size for what i want.

Do you have a part # for the C02 charging adapter?

UPDATE QUESTION: What happened to the Hobart CO2 Kit?

UPDATE QUESTION: What happened to the Hobart CO2 Kit?

I'm curious what happened to the CO2 kit as it doesn't seem to be a current Hobart item. Not that I want to buy one--I already OWN one and it is quite handy.

Mine hangs off the back of my MM140--it is light enough that I never mounted it. I have several paintball cans and I refill them myself with a diptube (liquid) CO2 cylinder. The CO2 allows a hotter weld with this 120v machine and there is not really that much spatter to speak of.

The only issue I've had is REMOVING the can under pressure from the adapter. The trick is to crack the connector where it goes into the back of the welder before unscrewing the can.
