  • Question about Hobart Airforce 27i

I am getting ready to buy a plasma cutter & I’m leaning towards the Airforce 27i, but I can’t find information as to whether this model has a built in air compressor or not. Specifically the features I’m looking for are the 110 / 220 plugs and the ability to cut thicker material i.e. 3/8, also on board air supply.

I have been going to YouTube for most of my research on these matters. There are plenty of videos on most products including other Hobart models but oddly not so much on the 27i.

It does not have an on-board compressor. You will need shop air or a compressed air tank.

Note that only requires a small compressor (3 cf/m at 90 psi), so you can still have portability at low cost.
