  • NEW MIG Machines?

    This is great...

BUT... Would be more interested in stepping up (from HH140), how about a machine along lines as the 210MVP but with inverter technology and infinite voltage/amperage control.....

Nothing NEW about that machine. Field tested the unit well over 10 years ago. Looks like Hobart just brought it back again. It's a shame that Hobart has discontinued their EZ fluxcore units. They were so simple to operate with very solid performance from a quality .030 wire.

As simple as the 210 MVP is to operate , adding a variable voltage control to the unit would make it a more complicated machine to operate, making it less user friendly for the weekend hobbyist. A nice upgrade to the HH 190 or HH 210 MVP would be to add the 12 tap voltage selector switch like the Ironman 230 has. Then of course you have to add a 16 -20 tap selector switch to the Ironman 230 to improve it.
MigMaster 250- Smooth arc with a good touch of softness to it. Good weld puddle wetout. Light spatter producer.
Ironman 230 - Soft arc with a touch of agressiveness to it. Very good weld puddle wet out. Light spatter producer.

HH 125 EZ - impressive little fluxcore only unit
