  • Can Hobart E71T-11 flux core wire be used on chrome-molly steel?

I am welding 1/8" thick 4130 flat and tubing with HH140 welder. I am wondering is this filler fuses well with 4130 base metal? In terms of the strength, I do calculation assuming that the weakest part (filler) having 71k tensile strength is OK for my fabrication.
Question only regarding fusing with base metal and penetration. And also how to solve a problem of the normalization process (as flux core welding is quick to heat and to cool - not good for chromolly) - to make gradual cooling so that chromolly does not crack under the load? If I use preheat and then after welding heat to normalize - would it be perfect solution?
    ?????????

What is it for? I wouldn't weld it with gasless wire. Just my thoughts...Bob
