  • HH-180 wire feed probelms

My HH-180 is four years old and Im having wire feed problems especially when the gun cable is not completely straight. The rollers and motor seem to be working fine but there is a alot of resistance in the gun itself. I've taken the gun apart and I dont see any kinks in the liner housing. I've blown compressed air through it and also tried to ream it out with 0.30 solid wire. I can barely push 10 ft of 0.30 wire through it because of the resistance. Is there a lubicant or something else that I can do to reduce friction in the liner?

    Thanks.

    ironman,

It's time to invest in a new liner. Any lubricant you would use will more than likely cause problems with weld contamination or clog the contact tip.
