  • 52 10 lb. spools through a HH140

My buddy has a HH140 and is a metal sculpture addict. He counted all the empty wire spool boxes (he saved em for some unknown reason) and he's been through at least 52 10 lb. spools of flux core.

The only problem he has had was to replace the liner. The welder is about 3 years old. I've been expecting his HH140 to quit because I know he never cleans it and uses it for hours every night. Dang amazing if you ask me. We're both wondering how much more life he can expect from it?

Thats great. I hope he didn't throw the spools away? I was looking for 10 or 15 a while back to rewind...Bob

Sure. I was getting damaged rolls of mig wire and rewinding them onto smaller spools. It took some time but the wire was free. Then i could use the small spools in my mig or spoolgun. I also was winding some custom wires, SS sil bronze and such for my buddies at work to try out...Bob
