  • Handler 210

    Hello everyone,

I just noticed that TSC is selling the Handler 210 for $799.00 which is down by about 100!! Nice Sale!

I have heard a lot of good things about this machine but would like to get some feedback from this group if you dont mind.. I do mainly general repair stuff and like to work on cars (auto body). I really like the fact that this machine has the plug-in for the spool gun directly on the face of the machine. I dont weld a lot of Aluminum but see it more than I have in the past.
I think that the 210 will give more options as I do more playing!..

    Thanks for your help....
ps. the size of this is perfect!! I dont have a huge garage and space is worth a lot since I can never seem to find a home for anything.

The arc starts and wet-out are outstanding for auto-body type stuff. I found WA. Alloy .023 is some of the best running auto-body wire. I let my friend from Airgas use it the other day setup that way and he was impressed with the arc. Very nice balanced machine, that is really hard to find fault with it. It's a heavy unit to carry very far but that is about the only real downside. The rest is upside.

What brand of wire is WA Alloy .023? Plan on doing some autobody in the near future with HH 187.

          Thanks,

          Chris

              It's Washington Alloy brand.

IIRC though, I don't think Washington Alloy manufactures any of their wires themselves - they source big lots of wire from various mills and brand it with their own name. So if they change suppliers, the subtle characteristics of the wire could change too.
