mig is probly the fast and easiest method of welding pipe at least in my experience.

One more thing dont forget to hook the control wire clip from the feeder to your work piece.Need a good clean connection.

Are you talking about a wire feeder or running a mig welder off of your gas welder?
If its a mig welder, all you are using from the gas welder is the generator side.Set everything else[wire speed, voltage, polarity]from the mig welder[hh210.mm180,lincoln180,etc]
If you have a wire feeder, you are using the gas welder as you welding power also. There is a selector switch for cv or cc.Some machines have a polarity selector switch on them [-dc-electrode neg.for flux-core].Other machines you have to switch the leads around .If your feeder can run from cc or cv,there should be a selector switch on it.If you chose to run on cc,leave the switch on the gas welder on cc mode[stick] and put the switch on your feeder to cc.If you chose to run on cv,put your switch on both machines to cv[cv is the better choice in my opinion, runs a lot better out of position].Main thing to rememeber is both machines need to be on the same thing[cc or cv]flux-core-dc electrode neg.You will also set your voltage when using [cv] on the current dial on your gas welder.wire speed is set on the feeder. All current[cc or cv] will be set on gas welder.Hope this helps and doesnt confuse.
