Cleaning Chopsaw

Anyone have any good suggestions for cleaning the slag and buildup from the blade guard and other areas of a chop saw? Just picked one up that needs a good going over. Some chips away just fine, but plenty remains.

Scrape it off with something sharp.

hammer and chizel works good.or just bite it off

Scrape with a large flat blade screw driver work good.

Big Flat Blade screwdriver and small tap hammer...be sure to look on the underside, there is a big'un lurking down there, too!

..now some might suggest the R-negative approach, where you cut bar magnet while running the saw in reverse...but I've personally never tried that one.
