I wish I could help with a manual, but I am just here to say 'wow'.
I have much the same machine in my shop, but made by Lincoln.
the Detriot engine is near indestructible in this use.
probably good for 15,000 hours before needing a rebuild.
Neat option is the removable fine adjustment dial, just plug it into an extension cord.
When Hobart was purchased by ITW , much of the information on these old machines was lost.
A few companies still make carbon brushes for the generator.
Other than brushes, the only wear parts are bearings.
A little bit of grease and they will last for a lifetime.
